Upgrade NetFlow Optimizer on Linux

RPM upgrade

To begin the upgrade in the default directory /opt/flowintegrator

1. Open a browser and go to the NetFlow Integrator web application URL. URL example: https://<your_server_ip>:8443

2. Go to NetFlow Optimizer > Server Configuration and click on the 'stop' button 

From the command line or shell perform the following

3.  #rpm -Uvh <RPM-package>

4. Log back into the NetFlow Optimizer web application

To begin the installation in another directory 

1. #rpm -ihv --relocate /opt/flowintegrator=<new-path> <RPM-package>

2. Open a browser and go to the URL and follow the setup steps. URL example: https://<your_server_ip>:8443

TAR upgrade

To begin the upgrade in the default directory /opt/flowintegrator

1. Open a browser and login to the NetFlow Optimizer web application. URL example: https://<your_server_ip>:8443

2. Go to NetFlow Optimizer > Server Configuration and click on the 'stop' button

From the command line or shell perform the following

3. #./setup.sh -u

4. # tar zxvf <tar.gz_package_path> -C <opt/flowintegrator>

5. #./setup.sh -i

6. Log back into the NetFlow Optimizer web application

To begin the upgrade in another directory

1. Open a browser and login to the NetFlow Optimizer web application. URL example: https://<your_server_ip>:8443

2. Go to NetFlow Optimizer > Server Configuration and click on the 'stop' button

From the command line or shell perform the following

3. #<install_dir>./setup.sh -u

4. # tar zxvf <tar.gz_package_path> -C <install_dir>

5. #<install_dir>./setup.sh -i

6. Log back into the NetFlow Optimizer web application
